In May 2025, Southeast Asia’s inaugural Mr Nusantara male pageant crowned Nicholas Erekose Sim, a 48‑year‑old Singaporean, as its first-ever champion. That evening at Kuala Lumpur’s Galaxy Banquet Hall, he won a prize package worth USD 80,000 (including a car), competing against finalists from Malaysia and Indonesia.
Nicholas has battled speech difficulties since childhood but has overcome them to build a successful career in finance. He is the co-founder and CEO of Fiduciary Group and formerly held the title of Mr Singapore International for over a decade.
The Nusantara pageant highlighted values of leadership, cultural pride, and modern masculinity. Contestants participated in resort wear, formal wear, talent, and Q&A segments, attended by elite judges from fashion, entertainment, and culture, such as Alluora founder Genecia Alluora Luo.
As a proud pageant sponsor, Alluora supported contestants with skincare essentials that promote radiant skin and self-assurance. This aligns with the event’s goals of empowerment, diversity, and regional unity.
